Chris Roe, the author of the America
program, the literature study guides, some of the reading booklets, and co-author of the At Home With Writing series, has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota and is a licensed teacher in the state of Minnesota. She has written several other literature-based curricula and has been homeschooling her two daughters since 1994. Chris' special area of interest is reading instruction; she loves to read and has frequent read-aloud times with her children.
Don Roe is interested in writing and has spent much time researching writing techniques. He is the co-author of the At Home With Writing series. Don edits, provides
countless hours of technical support for this home business, and teaches high school math at Twin Poplars Home School. Sixteen-year-old Amy Roe is interested in missions,
reading, writing, and skiing (on the water and on snow). Amy has had many stories and poems published and she has won numerous writing contests. Amy has written a reading booklet; she also
edits and offers invaluable suggestions for CNS materials. Eleven-year-old Rachel is an avid reader and enjoys animals. This summer she has encouraged chipmunks to eat
peanuts out of her hand. Rachel has also written a reading booklet and is learning to be a good editor. We all enjoy living on a lake and snow-skiing. We
are also active in a local church. |
